Our Leather Craftsmen’s Commitment to Detail

Dyeing the edge of the leather is the mainstream method.
That way is faster and more suitable for mass production.

However, that method would ruin classic leather.
NEW ANTIQUE is finished by “leather polishing” without the use of dyeing.

First, the leather is shaped with a fine file, then it is soaked in beeswax, and for a wallet, polished for about 4 hours.

Although multiple pieces of leather are overlapped, a sense of unity is created, making it feel like only one piece.
In addition, as the leather tightens its strength increases, and its appearance changes to a more natural leather finish.
In the leather industry, the detail of edge treatment is said to determine the quality of the final work.

NEW ANTIQUE

The metal fittings and threads used are also produced in Japan and Europe.
Our craftsmen select the parts with the best reputation for durability and ease of use.

Because our leather products are order made, we pay great attention to details in order to create one-of-a-kind products.
